"I just spent almost a hundred thousand dollars on my MBA degree and I feel like a lot of the stuff I learned there I learned in Toy Creators Academy!"
Full time I work as a Chemist, and the toy industry is out of my realm of experience and network.
So, I needed some way to get inside knowledge about many unique aspects such as children as a target market, manufacturing, and pitching to toy companies. Toy Creators Academy helped me realize that there are several ways for me to go with my intellectual property other than just turning it into a toy line.
Although my toy idea is still in the early stages of development, TCA brought me opportunities to pitch my idea to book publishers, production companies, and toy companies. Azhelle has such a breadth of knowledge and connections in toys and entertainment so she has been able to match me to the right companies to pitch my products and ideas to.
My toy company contact list was ZERO before Toy Creators Academy and now I have at least 3 toy and entertainment industry contacts for my concept.
Since joining TCA, I pitched to Genius Cat Publishing and Pure Imagination Studios! I had an opportunity to pitch my idea to Jazwares but schedules didn’t align.
TCA exceeded my expectations. Azhelle’s knowledge, experience and network are an invaluable resource to tap into. I’m also finishing up my MBA with a price tag approaching $100,000 and I feel like a lot of the stuff I learned there I learned in Toy Creators Academy!
Azhelle has a lot of the same strategies and tactics to offer that I learned in from my MBA plus she has information that is unique to the toy industry that I would not have known otherwise. Maybe I could have saved a lot of money if I signed up for her course first!
In my MBA program, most people are either developing an app or a drug…it's all healthcare tech so if you don't fall in that range then no one really cares about what you're doing. So it feels really good to be in a space with like-minded toy people who appreciate your work.
The learning modules were well organized, the Zoom meetings were super helpful, and you’ll get really good feedback. Plus, you have the opportunity to pitch to real companies and people in the business. If you’re serious about exploring this industry, I highly recommend the Toy Creator’s Academy.
The connections I’ve made in TCA I would not have gotten otherwise which is— I don't know if you can put a price tag on that.
