NBC’s Access Daily Features Kidpreneurs That Are Changing The Game With This
Azhelle Wade, AKA The Toy Coach, is well known for her toy industry expertise. She has over a decade of experience in working with major brands and is a 3x patented toy inventor.
In 2020, Azhelle quit her corporate job to focus on building The Toy Coach, including the podcast, Making It In the Toy Industry, and The Toy Creator’s Academy, the only toy program that helps people develop and pitch their toy ideas. As The Toy Coach, Azhelle helps people develop their ideas into actual products and market those products for success.
Over the past 2 years, media outlets including Podcast Magazine, The Marie Forleo Podcast, Access Daily, and The History Channel have sought out and featured Azhelle’s industry knowledge. Recently, Azhelle was honored to have her second appearance on Access Daily.
Access Daily is a daytime talk show hosted by Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, and Scott Evans. It’s a lighthearted spinoff of the show Access Hollywood. Access Daily focuses on pop culture with fun celebrity interviews and lifestyle segments to inform viewers about interesting trends.
Azhelle’s most recent segment on the show featured products made by three inspiring kid entrepreneurs. Kids are so creative. They’ve always come up with great ideas, and with extra time on their hands due to staying home during the pandemic, some enterprising kids really got their creative juices flowing and put on their inventor hats. Entrepreneurship projects can be fun for the whole family.
Parents come to Azhelle all the time and ask for help with their child’s toy and product ideas. For The Toy Coach, supporting kid-preneurs is a no-brainer, especially when their products are as good as these.
Sahara’s Glow Bows by Sahara Morton, Age 7
Sahara’s Glow Bows is such a fun concept. When Sahara had to stay home during the beginning of the pandemic, she wanted to do something fun and creative. So, she asked her mom if they could make bows together. However, Sahara’s sense of style required something with a pop. She wanted her bows to light up.
Now, her company sells light-up bows and scrunchies in a variety of colors. The bows use LED lights with 4 different settings: fast blinking, slow blinking, steady light, and off. It’s a great gift for kids and adults alike. Who doesn’t want a little glow in their look?

More Than Peach Crayons by Bellen Woodard, Age 11
Bellen’s art supplies line is not only fun, but it’s also important. When she was 9, Bellen wondered why peach was labeled “skin color” or “flesh color” in her boxes of crayons. So, she created a line of crayons and colored pencils that celebrates all skin tones. Her product line includes a pack of crayons with 12 colors representing a wide variety of skin tones and a 12 pack of colored pencils with the same.
She also has rainbow packs that have 24 colors from the rainbow, and a coloring book. Recently, Bellen wrote a children’s book about her story that is currently available for pre-order at major book sellers including Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Bellen’s goal is to inspire more empathy and understanding in classrooms across the globe. She is the world’s first crayon activist! Her crayon line is now in Target and on the More Than Peach website.
Mariposa Pops by Jaxton Sadler, age 8
Jaxton has had an entrepreneurial spirit from the start. He launched his own lemonade stand when he was just 5 years old. In 2021, he started making popsicles for his family. His grandparents would give him fun flavor ideas, and he would make them. They turned out to be so good that he moved to a commercial kitchen and got a popsicle cart so he could sell his products. Some of the delicious flavors include pumpkin spice, super spicy pineapple, and rainbow pride.
The company is named after the family’s hometown, Mariposa, CA, where it gets pretty hot in the summertime. This heat inspired Jaxton to make something yummy that would help everyone cool down. He had so much fun selling his popsicles in downtown Mariposa in the summer of 2021 and he looks forward to doing that again this coming summer.
On Azhelle’s Access Daily segment, the hosts got to sample each one of these products and they absolutely loved each one. It was a joy to see them try on Sahara’s bows, color with Bellen’s crayons, and taste Jaxton’s popsicles.
